Untitled blackware vessel

One of my blackware tests, on its own. It's hand coiled and burnished. Next time I'll choose a clay with less grogg if I really want a nice burnished surfuce that doesn't take AGES to achieve.

You can see small drip marks on the pot and neither me nor the technician are quite sure where they came from. The top theory is that someone (evil!) sprayed their work with water too close to mine while it was on the drying shelf. I started putting up a sign for people not to spray anything near my work again and lo and behold, I haven't gotten those drip marks again...

As for the shape, I didn't want to make a 'perfect' pot. I felt that something a bit lopsided with a more random shape was more representative of me, both as a maker and a person.
