An evolution of the 'Symbiotic' [link] pieces I made on the 2nd year of my degree. Both the technique and the vessels have (quite obviously) changed and evolved since then.

The piece(s) reflect the essence of co-existence, dependency and relationship. It's a theme that continues to interest me, that I'm continually exploring. I'm also very keen to display how the firing process is intimately connected to what is being fired, how the two connect beyond the mere functional stage. Because of the combustibles I use in the firings the work changes over time; texture and colour appear and disappear. To me this makes the work truly alive, it is a breath of life and soul.
